This is a highly collectible, single Irish national stamp from An Post. On January 27, 2022 An Post issued two stamps to mark the centenary of the first publication of James Joyce’s Ulysses as a complete volume.
Regarded as a masterpiece of modernist literature, Ulysses chronicles a single day (June 16, 1904) in the lives of Stephen Dedalus, Leopold and Molly Bloom in Dublin. This has led to the celebration of Blooms Day on that date each year. The book was constructed by Joyce as a modern parallel to Homer’s Odyssey.
